Dynamo Armature Fit Landrover Lucas Servicing C40 Wood Auto Wda1309

My Triumph 1300 saloon charging circuit had been sluggish for a while according to the ammeter, discharging the battery at low RPM in traffic. After total failure I inspected the armature and found the commutator segments were damaged, resulting in premature wear on the brushes and poor / non-existent charging.
Found this replacement armature via Google and took a chance. Fitted to the dynamo over a few hours with new brushes. Fit was spot-on for length and bearing surfaces and quality looked good.
Drove the car this evening and for the first time ever it's now charging the battery at tickover with lights and indicator on, so this new armature has much better output than the old knackered one. Time will tell about longevity but in the meantime I'm pleased as punch.

This has been a repair job on an already replaced generator , excellent service from MURE as always , generator was dead as one nit , no faults left with field coils or brushes , no faults across commutator or armature blades , but would not run as a motor , a growler is not accessible here , so I changed the armature , reassembled it carefully , & it ran well on bench test as a motor , refitted it & a brief volts test , which was quite o.k. & now charging system now working . Thanks to MURE I,ve been able to sort out another one , this isn't the first time I,ve used MURE supplied components to repair a disfunctional vehicle charging system , they keep the right parts & supply you promptly , courteously & honestly . What more do you want .
